Bethel is a vibrant church with a multi-generational congregation with ministries that span/serve all ages. The congregation is made up of families with deep roots that can be traced to the very inception of the church as well as individuals and families who have joined/connected along the way. With such a diverse congregation our leadership is committed to honour our past/history/legacy while casting/charting a vision for a dynamic future together as a family. Our worship is a unique fusion of both traditional hymns and contemporary expressions of praise and worship. Together as a congregation we are committed to “living together in the unity of God’s love with faith in Christ Jesus. To Live and To Love. That sums up what our church is about and guides everything we do as a community of believers. Jesus told his followers to make disciples throughout all the world. Our “world” is the city of Birmingham, and we want to help as many people as possible in our city to come to know Jesus in the power of his Spirit and to fulfil his purpose for their lives.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Bethel is a Bible-based church. That means we seek to believe and practice what is explicitly taught in the Bible. We believe in repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and the receiving by faith the Holy spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance according to Acts 2:38 and Acts 2:4
We believe this constitutes the new birth spoken of by Jesus in St. John 3:1-8 and must be followed by a sanctified life by those who will be ready for the soon appearing of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ
